The Aenova Group is a leading global contract manufacturer for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. The Aenova site in Feldkirchen has particular expertise in the development, production and packaging of semi-solid dosage forms. The site specializes in the production and packaging of creams, ointments and gels in various types of tubes.
A high-pressure water mist system from AQUASYS is used at the site to protect clean rooms, production areas and their suspended ceilings, but above all the raw materials warehouse, in the event of a fire. The entire pump technology is installed in two 40” containers on the factory premises.
The special feature of this project was the installation during ongoing operations. Scaffolding was erected between the meter-high suspended ceilings to ensure that everything ran smoothly and that Aenova employees were not hindered during operation. Once the pipes and nozzles had been installed in the building, the two containers weighing a total of 29 tons were set up on the factory premises. The lower container contains the entire technology with 3x diesel units of 205 kW each, 12x high-pressure pumps, their control system, air conditioning unit and the ventilation system. The upper container contains a plastic tank with a water capacity of 55.3m³.
Head of Engineering & HSE at Aenova's Feldkirchen site, Florian Buhleier, confirms: “Even almost two years after commissioning, the system is still in very good condition thanks to the annual maintenance carried out by AQUASYS. Weekly maintenance by the customer himself is understandable and easy to implement.”
